Turning African campuses into builder hubs.
Most campus connectivity only makes students users of technology. Campus Connect plants a builder culture inside universities, so students create wallets, apps and financial tools on BitcoinCash and earn a global income before they graduate.
The certificate trap.
Every year campuses across Africa graduate thousands of students. Most cannot find jobs, not for lack of certificates, but because employers and the digital economy care about what a graduate can build.
Meet students where they are.
BitcoinCash is peer-to-peer electronic cash built for fast, low-fee everyday payments. A student needs only a laptop, a campus Wi-Fi signal and the right skills to build on an open network.
The same four steps on every campus.
We are not guessing. Our technical partner FlexiHub has trained cohorts in Jos, Adamawa and Ilorin whose graduates built real software and registered startups. We point that proven training-to-building model at BitcoinCash and scale it across campuses.
1. Campus Activation
A major on-campus launch to announce the chapter and wake students up to the idea that tech is for them, on their own campus. Thousands of students are expected to join the community database on the day.
2. The Knowledge Series
Bi-weekly virtual webinars for the whole community: how BitcoinCash works, wallet basics and career prep. Everyone stays engaged, even outside the CashCamp cohort.
3. CashCamp
Twelve Saturdays of physical training in campus ICT labs or lecture halls. Real BCH wallets, real CashScript smart contracts and real projects, built with hands-on mentorship.
4. Employment
After CashCamp we upload student profiles to hiring and freelance platforms and recommend graduates to BitcoinCash ecosystem partners for internships, paid in BCH or fiat.
Three phases, January to September 2027.
- 1Jan to March 2027
The Awakening
The Grand Campus Launch on 7 February draws students into the community. Right after, screening begins: weeks reviewing video pitches and test results to find the 50 most dedicated students on each campus.
- 2April to June 2027
The Building
For three months each campus's Elite 50 meet every Saturday in campus ICT labs, writing code and building on BitcoinCash. The bi-weekly webinars continue for the wider community so no one is left behind.
- July to September 2027
The Results
A Demo Day on campus, a showcase and not a ceremony, where companies and investors see what students built. Then the focus shifts to job placement: fixing CVs and connecting graduates to remote work.
Who gets into CashCamp?
- A working laptop. Non-negotiable.
- A one-minute video pitch: why you want to join and which problem you will solve.
- A signed commitment to 12 consecutive Saturdays. Miss classes and your seat goes to the waiting list.
- The 30% rule: at least 30% of each chapter's seats are reserved for female students.
How we measure success
- Did they stay? A target of at least 90% completion of the 12 weeks.
- Did they build? Every student ends with a working wallet, payment tool or smart contract.
- Did they get noticed? We track interviews and internship offers.
- Is the community growing? We track webinar attendance and return engagement.
What we need to launch
- Campus space: a lecture hall or ICT lab for Saturday classes
- Power: 4 hours of guaranteed electricity every Saturday
- Internet: fast, reliable data to reach cloud servers
- Facilitation: a small budget to support volunteer mentors
How we stay independent
Our talent-agent model: when a graduate lands a high-paying remote job, the hiring company pays Campus Connect a recruitment fee. That fee funds the training of the next cohort, so the success of one batch pays for the education of the next.
